Grumble Cuss 4 Millionth Edition

Nowhere can I find turpentine!

Nobody seems to sell it anymore.

How the hell am I supposed to learn to oil paint without turpentine?

Grrrr.  Grumble.  Cuss.

Try a mom and pop hardware store.
If not a store that has art supplies

    A regular lumberyard!
I do not remember where I got it the last time I needed it!

I’ve been warned not to use hardware store grade, as it will yellow.

I think I’ll just use mineral spirits and be done with it.

My hubby said to try at a lumber yard, or a ‘farm store’. Ours is called Orschlen. Did you try a hobby store, or a regular paint store?

I don’t have that problem because when I do paint, I use acrylics.

    What are you painting?

Seems many folks use what’s called “Citrus Thinner” or another, “Turpenoid”.

Shoooooooooot. Nearest hobby store is 1 hr, 15 minutes away. >.< Damned country living! (Shaking fist)

I don't know what I'm going to paint…whatever happens when the brush meets the canvas. 😉

LOL- backed (or painted) yourself into the corner again eh??? 🙂 I DO find it interesting that apparently you can no longer get turpentine!

You think I should paint ducks with water colors, Rick? Not sure the ducks would like that too much. 😉
